I just realized that no one has posted on here about Hugs 4 Hounds. It is an annual event in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario August 25-26/07 to raise awareness for greyhound (sighthound) adoption. It is not that far from Buffalo or Detroit and it would be a very nice weekend getaway (camping available). You can check out the info at
