Hi all, I'm a newbie to this group, but not to greyhounds! I have been in greyhound rescue for 5 years and have recently started my own adoption group in central FL. I'm looking for someone who knows how to build a website for greyhound adoption and would donate their time, or work REALLY cheap! rolleyes.gif Please write me at godsgreyts@mac.com if you can help. Thanks and doG bless, carolB

Hi Carol!! You have a .mac address too! I always knew we were some kind of cosmic cousins!! I'm so glad to see that you found this board!! I hope that we see and hear more from you! If you guys don't know Carol - she is one of the angels struggling to get greyhounds out of Florida... she is one of the "pitchers" tossing dogs out of Florida to the rest of us "catching" dogs in the rest of the country...

Hello Carol, and welcome aboard! Sorry I can't help with web development, but I look forward to learning about your group. Florida has so many dogs coming off the tracks that I imagine it could use more adoption groups. Good luck to you! smile.gif

Hi Carol:

I keep up our group's web site after learning how to do it myself with lots of books, time, and effort. After doing it myself for over two years, I can now say that it's best to bite the bullet and learn it yourself. It's a LOT easier to put your own together and then you can update it when you want and save money and time! If you don't find anyone by early October, please PM me. I'd love to help you now, but we are in the midst of a very busy time with lots of adoption applications and our picnic which will be coming up in September. I can at least give you what we have and you can then fashion it to your group's needs. I never knew a thing about building and updating a web site, but it can be done.

Good luck on your new adventure. I know that you will do well. It's a LOT harder work than most people realize, but you already have the experience and know that!!!!

Hi Carol:

I'm also very new to this board, but I know this will be where to come for some good advise.

Good luck in your new venture, 2 of my greys came from Florida and I know there are many more waiting for that "forever home"

Goood Luck to you.
