“Greyhounds Make Great Pets” will be recording a live show in Dewey Beach at The Bottle & Cork on Friday October 5, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Be sure to join the fun and frolic. As part of the GMGP festivities, GMGP will be holding their “Pirates of the Beach” contest. EVERYONE is welcome to enter. All you have to do is show up. Contestants will form teams (or ships) consisting of 3 or more crew members. Yes, greyhounds may be a part of the crew!!! The contest will consist of 3 rounds:
1. Costume – pirate theme is preferred but not essential
2. Talent – yohoho, can you sing or dance a jig? Or some other hidden specialty?
3. Trivia – questions will be greyhound, pirate and nautically related. Clues for all questions to be asked will be given on “Greyhounds Make Great Pets” beginning with Show #189 and on each new show until Dewey. GMGP shows are archived so you can listen 24/7.
The ship chosen as the winner will receive a Treasure Chest filled with oodles of booty worth a king’s ransom in gold doubloons with merchandise and gift certificates generously donated by GMGP, The GPA Store, Black Horse Design, Greyhound Studies, Houndtime Clocks, Houndstown (to name just a few) and friends of GMGP.
