Greyhounds are my passion. My first grey, Mariah, entered my life 10 years ago, and she changed my life forever. I've now shared my life with 7 greyhounds, and each has touched me as no other breed has.
Mariah begat Shiloh, and Shiloh begat Doc, and Doc begat Digger, and Digger begat Lorrie, and Lorrie begat Triple, and Triple begat Horseshoe!! And they all ignited an undeniable need to learn more about the origins of our greyhounds, so I now have half ownership of a racing pup, BlackStar Rising!
I've lost Mariah to osteosarcoma, and Shiloh to cauda equina syndrome. Here are photos of my present hounds:
Doc - black, male, age 8 - and Lorrie - parti girl, age 12 1/2:

Triple - white/black part girl - age 5 - and Horseshoe - white/fawn parti boy, age 5:

Digger - fawn, male, age 5 (that's a cow ear he's gnawing):

And this is my racing fella - Rising - black, male, 2 years next month, and at the track in Birmingham!

I'm a veterinarian and see many greyhounds in my practice, Grassmere Animal Hospital, and work very closely with GPA-Nashville. Greyhound adoption is my work outside of work. 100% adoption is the goal!!
