What do you think about getting rid of your winkles and redefining beauty by having treatments perform such as Botox, Perlane and Restylane treatments. I don't see anything wrong with it, nothing wrong holding on to younger skin. I also think its boosts one's self esteem and worth. We eat right, exercise, and try to keep our bodies, such as our heart and lungs free of disease and young, why not your face. What do you think?

Trust me, it does not hurt, they numb you with numbing cream, you can't feel anything and your skin looks so much better. My poor skin took a beating, working outside in all kinds of weather, plus all the pollution from Baltimore City and effects from fire stand bys and fumes, from the truck, engine and my medic unit, yuck. emo-puke.gif

I think that people have a right to do whatever makes them happy with their money. I've never been all that "into" how I look. (There'sa reason for that - I never looked all that great - <g>) I am 50 and sagging, but if I spend $100 on a roll of webbing that I turn into about 112 collars - adoption groups will sell those collars for between $12 and $20 each... turning $100 of my dollars into $1200 for adoption or 8 greyhounds vetted.

I think that if it makes you happy, you should do it. It wouldn't make me happy - even if it made me look like Sophia Loren in her prime (not much chance of that <g>). It's the old "Guns or Butter" debate, you buy butter and I'll fight for your right to buy it - but I'd rather buy gun parts...

While I agree that it's okay to want to look younger, I think it's better to take care of your skin from the start. A little sunscreen never hurts!

The one thing I don't care for is Botox. I can't understand why anyone would want to inject themselves with botulism bacteria!

Must be a women thing. biggrin.gif

Oh no, actually a lot of men are having work done on their face, and not just the guys in Hollywood. Last time I was at my doctor's office, a number of men were in the waiting room, I was impressed.
